Privacy Policy

The short version

Dinner Dice is a free web app from RUTLINKS LLC that helps you decide what to eat. There are no accounts. Almost everything you do in the app stays on your own device, and we don't sell your data.

What's stored on your device

The app saves these in your browser's local storage (localStorage) on this device only:

• Your preferences and settings (sections, filters, spice level, sounds, intro and reminder settings)
• Your taste quiz answers and the dishes you like, skip or roll
• Meals you add or edit, your week plan and shopping list
• Gift a Meal recipient details you type in (such as a name, phone number, address and message), so you can paste them into a delivery app yourself
• Recent order searches, game points and your Yum / Nah votes
• A profile photo, if you add one
• The result of the 18+ check (that you passed and when), not your date of birth

This information isn't sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Hosting and analytics

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any website host, Netlify receives standard request information (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site, keep it secure and give us basic, aggregate site analytics. We don't use advertising trackers.

Location and maps

The Map and "Find an ingredient" features use your location only if you allow it in your browser, or a city or ZIP code you type. To find nearby places, the app sends that location to OpenStreetMap services (Overpass and Nominatim), and map images load from OpenStreetMap and CARTO. Your location is kept in memory while you use the app and isn't saved.

Forms you send us

If you use the Contact form, a "Notify me" form, the "Learn from a Chef" chef waitlist, or the restaurant partner application, what you enter (such as your name, email and message) is sent to us through Netlify Forms. We use it only to reply to you or handle that request.

Links to delivery services

Buttons for DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub open those services' own sites or apps. What you do there is covered by their own privacy policies and terms, not this one.

We don't sell your data

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

18+ only

Dinner Dice is meant for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
